Available Positions

This position is as a remote 1099 Independent Contractor, based virtually, paying commissions on all aspects of sourcing, meeting planning and logistics management offering uncapped commission potential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing client contacts for meeting planning services, ranging from sourcing & contract negotiation to complete end to end logistics support & services including a virtual platform
  • Sourcing meeting venues on behalf of clients
  • Maintain and expand client relationships in order to expand the range of services provided
  • Working closely with meeting & event planners and to support full-service programs
  • Sourcing through the company licensed Cvent platform


The ideal candidate must possess the following qualities:

  • Entrepreneurial, "can do" attitude, and is motivated by building their own book of business
  • A true “go-getter” who understands and knows how to navigate the landscape
  • Minimum 3 years working within the meetings & events and hospitality industry
  • Motivated in developing relationships, selling sourcing and full-service meeting services
  • Strong working knowledge of the meetings & incentives and conventions industry
  • Wide network of contacts involved in meeting contracting decisions
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral presentations a must

POSITION:                           Senior Meetings and Events Manager

REPORTS TO:                       Event Operations Director               

STATUS:                               Full Time/Exempt 

LOCATION:                          Atlanta, GA or Boca Raton, FL

The Senior Meetings and Events Manager will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through excellent meetings management. This position is an integral part of our team and will be responsible for managing, supporting and/or executing various events, from initial concept through execution and final reconciliation.

The ideal candidate for this role has excellent communication, networking skills and the ability to successfully manage stakeholder relationships and expectations. This person should also have excellent knowledge of destinations, hotels, and venues nationwide, having built relationships with venues and proficient experience in contract negotiation.


Program Management

  • Responsible for leading and/or supporting the planning and execution of multiple key events
  • Manage, prioritize, and oversee events from creative concept and development from initial briefing through to final reconciliation including but not limited to budget management, site selection, hotel/venue management, registration management, transportation, food & beverage, décor, staffing, and teambuilding management
  • Work with the team to ensure adherence to client standards, company standards and all deliverables are met
  • Responsible for budgeting and reconciliation of events
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Negotiate and review vendor contracts and addendums for accuracy
  • Monitor opportunities to maximize and increase value adds, cost savings, and cost efficiencies
  • Be responsive to client questions offering advice to assist with creative problem solving
  • Provide support for other team members as required

Vendor / Venue Sourcing and Contract Management

  • Review venue/vendor contracts and client addendums for accuracy and negotiate concessions where applicable and appropriate
  • Develop and submit RFP’s via Cvent or Etherio Group template
  • Consolidate information to fulfill client reporting requirements


Administration & General Responsibilities

  • Work intelligently and ensure that team management is aware of potential opportunities which can negatively affect productivity
  • Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work more efficiently
  • Accurate adherence to company’s time tracking policies and systems
  • Work on ad hoc requests as required


  • Eight+ year’s event management experience (familiarity with both an agency environment and corporate events are required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Advanced project management skills, including budget creation, management, and reconciliation
  • Experience with high level conference and meeting management
  • Experience managing virtual / hybrid meetings as well as knowledge of multiple virtual technology platforms.
  • Exceptional ability to establish relationships and maintain a positive rapport with clients, vendors, and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced negotiating and contracting skills
  • Knowledge of destinations and venues throughout worldwide
  • Good/advanced working knowledge of the MS Office Suite
  • Creative problem solver, resourceful, team player
  • Strong team player who can support and be supported by others
  • Calm and flexible approach to handling the pressure and stress of ever-changing demands
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good working knowledge of key international destinations including venues and suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of Cvent tools, including CrowdCompass is highly preferred, but not required
